“Family photography may both conceal and reveal, but its investigation can never end with the closed circle it appears to represent”  - Patricia Holland

Ashley House is a collection of alternative family photographs, taken at my Grandparents’ family home. Through a quiet interaction with Ashley House, the series of images documented an anthropological examination of the remote relationship between my paternal family and I, and our differences in social class. Evidence of my Grandparents’ daily routine, my father’s childhood and my experience as a visitor is present in the photographs; the images resulting as an autobiographical record of three generations.
