Coma
2016 - present

Coma explores an idea of the ‘unthinkable’.

At the age of 28, I discovered that my father had been living a double life. When abruptly leaving my mother, I was devastated to discover how his secret life revolved around other women. As an attempt to understand his actions, I looked for answers his archived 1970’s ‘Sight and Sound’ film magazines, which he collected in his youth and gifted to me in mine. Looking at the images of women in this collection, where science-fiction shapes bodies as possessed or technologically-mediated, I wonder how these images may have impacted his later behaviour.
